Shanghai Automotive International Group (SAIC) presented the all-new 2018 LDV T60 ute model. The official presentation was in April this year at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show, and the first models appeared on the Australian market last month. First of all, they compete with the new Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux and Mitsubishi Triton models.
Built-in predatory grille and massive bumpers with silver inserts. It also has LED daytime running lights, angular LED headlights, vertical rear LEDs and vertical front fog lamps. Noticeable are roof rails and steel bars in the cargo area. The cabin has cloth or leather seats and a multifunctional leather steering wheel. Provided is a heated front seats. In addition, it has air-conditioning or dual-zone climate control, while the central console features a 10-inch touchscreen entertainment system.
The outer dimensions are as follows: lenght 211.2 inch (5365 mm), width 74.8 inch (1900 mm), height 72.9 or 74.3 inch (1852 or 1887 mm), while the wheelbase is 124.2 inches (3155 mm). Placed at the 17-inch aluminum wheels. For now, it has only a dual cab with four doors, designed to accommodate five passengers. Later, they will probably get a single, extra and mega cab. We offer Pro and Luxe trim levels. Payload is from 1797 to 2260 lbs (from 815 to 1025 kg), maximum towing capacity is 6614 lbs (3000 kg), while the weight is from 4299 to 4542 lbs (from 1950 to 2060 kg).
The LDV T60 has a high and low-range four-wheel drive, combined with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. For now, it only offers a 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbo diesel engine. The production of this engine is 147 hp and 266 lb-ft (360 Nm) of torque. Combined fuel consumption is 26.7 mpg (manual) or 24.5 mpg (automatic). It’s not known if there will be another engine.
Depending on the trim level and gearbox selection, the price of the 2018 LDV T60 ute is from $ 28,990 to $ 34,990.
