Mopar Automotive parts is present at 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas with fourteen models. One of them is the 2018 RAM 1500 Low Down Concept. Although we expected significantly more changes, there are only a few differences in the external and internal design. Also, there are no significant differences in the engine. However, it will be interesting to compare it with Ford Raptor.
Built-in is recognizable RAM grille and one-piece gloss black Mopar performance hood with aggressive scoop. There are LED daytime running lights, front foglights, LED headlights and taillights. It is made in Brassphault two-tone color palette (Billet Silver with Brass Monkey stripe), with gloss black exterior badging. In cabin has leather seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, 8.4-inch touchscreen with the Uconnect infotainment system.
2018 RAM 1500 Low Down Concept was created at Big Horn Crew cab with four-doors, designed to accommodate up to six passengers. Placed at the 22-inch gloss black wheels with Brass Monkey accents. Outside dimensions: lenght 209 inch (5309 mm), width 79.4 inch (2017 mm), height 74.6 inch (1895 mm), wheelbase 120.5 inch (3061 mm), while the ground clearance 9 inch (229 mm).
As far as the propulsion systems are concerned, there are no significant changes from the 2019 Big Horn. The only offer is the 5.7-liter V8 HEMI engine. The production of this engine is 395 hp and 410 lb-ft (556 Nm) of torque. The standard model has fuel consumption of 15/22/17 mpg (RWD) and 16/21/17 mpg (AWD). A rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is available, combined with a 8-speed automatic transmission. In addition, it will probably offer an optional 6-speed automatic transmission. Also has a 5-inch gloss black exhaust tips and a Ram Airflow cold-air intake, as well as a Prototype 2-inch lowering kit.
According to some sources, the 2018 RAM 1500 Low Down Concept will not go into serial production. However, if the production starts, it will probably be more expensive than the 2019 RAM 1500 Big Horn for several thousand dollars.
