After only four years, available is a 2019 Chevy Silverado the new generation. The official presentation is in Detroit at the 2018 North American International Auto Show (2018 NAIAS). The first announcement was at the end of last year in Dallas, at the Texas Motor Speedway (within the Chevy Truck Centennial Celebration Weekend). Unfortunately, for now, available is only Silverado 1500. However, we expect new Heavy Duty models, as well as the new GMC Sierra. Certainly, the primary goal is to hold the second place in the list of sales in the US market. First of all, intended as to respond to the announcement of the new generation Ford F-series. Also, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles introduced the new generation RAM pickup. In addition to the fourth generation of these models, at the 2018 Work Truck Show in Indianapolis (March), we will see the new Chevrolet Silverado Medium Duty (4500 & 5500).
It is made mainly of high-grade alloy and high-strength-steel, with a new design of black or chrome grille and bumpers. Noticeable are new headlights, and complete lighting is in LED technology. Also, there is a single or dual exhaust system. The cabin has plenty of vinyl or leather lining, cloth or leather seats and better climate control. Provided is more legroom in the rear, as well as for storage of equipment. In addition to being much larger, the cargo box has been significantly improved. Of course, the central console has a 7-inch or 8-inch touchscreen (next-generation infotainment system).
According to available information, it will be longer by almost 4 inches (about 100 mm). It also has a wider and longer cargo box. Expected to offer wheels of the same sizes, but with significantly better materials, as well as larger tires. Although it will be lighter about 450 lbs (204 kg), we expect higher payload and towing capacity. There are eight levels of trim: WT, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, LT Trail Boss, LTZ and High Country. Of course, the three sizes of the cabin (two or four doors) offer accommodation for 3 to 6 passengers.
Announced that it will offer six engines. Unfortunately, detailed specifications have not been publish. In any case, it will have a 5.3-liter V8 EcoTec3 and a 6.2-liter V8 petrol engine. A brand new is a 3.0-liter six-cylinder Duramax turbo-diesel engine. As standard, it offers a rear-wheel drive, and optionally has all-wheel drive. Combined is with an all-new 10-speed automatic transmission. Reducing weight and a new gearbox will certainly ensure a lower fuel consumption.
Price 2019 Chevy Silverado the new generation has not yet been confirm. Certainly, we expect it to be more expensive than current models. Sales at dealers will start during the summer, and sales outlets are expected later this year.
