Based on the standard 2019 Isuzu D-Max, the 2019 Isuzu Concept X was presented at the National 4×4 Outdoors Show in Melbourne. First of all, it is intended as a competition with special editions Toyota HiLux Rugged-X, Ford Ranger Raptor and HSV Colorado SportsCat.
This monster truck is significantly different from the latest D-Max, with plenty of custom elements: steel fenders and bonnet, alloy bull bar, alloy tray and a sports bar. The production model will have integrated LED driving lights. In addition to leather seats and steering wheel in the cabin, it’s likely to have an automatic climate control and a touchscreen of at least 7-inch.
Exterior dimensions 2019 Isuzu Concept X: length 198.8 inch (5050 mm), width 84.6 inch (2150 mm) and height 82.7 inch (2100 mm). Unfortunately, the distance between the wheels is still unknown. Towing capacity is 10,000 lbs (4536 kg), with one platinum winch behind the front and rear bumpers. Available is only a dual cab with four-door, for up to five passengers. Placed at 20-inch wheels fitted with 38-inch Toyo Open Country mud terrain off-road tires. In addition, it has a 7-inch suspension lift with independent front and multi-link rear coil suspension. Also, fitted are custom 60 mm remote reservoir shock absorbers, and a significantly larger and ground clearance: 14.6 inch (370 mm).
For now, it only offers a 3.0-liter four-cylinder turbo diesel engine. The production of this engine is 180 hp and 330 lb-ft (447 Nm) of torque. Of course, the drive is on all four wheels. It is combined with a 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission. Fuel consumption is still unknown.
Price 2019 Isuzu Concept X is not yet known, and the date of entry to the market has not been announced. However, we assume that we will have to wait a lot until it appears in the sale. Also, there is a possibility that it will not have serial production.
